OdonAssist: A new device for assisted vaginal birth

Dr. Hotton’s research focuses on improving obstetric interventions, particularly the use of the OdonAssist device for assisted vaginal birth. She has published in leading journals, including BMJ Open and the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

She co-led the ASSIST and led the ASSIST II clinical trials alongside Professor Timothy Draycott and Dr Joanna Crofts in Bristol, both conducted at Southmead Hospital, part of North Bristol NHS Trust. Additionally, as a Master Trainer for the OdonAssist Device, she developed the worldwide training programme and is actively supporting the obstetric community in the adoption of this new alternative gentle approach to assisted vaginal birth.
